Can Code be used to define parameters in a subscription?

I am trying to create an email subscription that runs every Monday for the previous week. To do this I was trying to set the start date parameter to dateadd("d", -7, today()) and the end date parameter to dateadd("d", -1, today()). However, every time I change it to anything but a static date value, the screen refreshes and changes the code back to the default date.

I know I can set the defaults to the previous week in the report itself but I already have another subscription that runs the same report as MTD so the parameter defaults are set to that. The only other way I can think to accomplish this is to create a copy of the report with the only difference being parameter defaults (which I don't think is a good solution).

Any suggestions are welcome.

You said that you have the other report run for MTD. What do you mean by that?|||Sorry, Month To Date (MTD)|||Does anyone know if this is possible? I still have not found a solution.

Can a job trigger itself upon receipt of an email?

Hi all,
I have a SQL Server Job that I would like to run when I receive an email saying "Data is now ready to be imported to SQL Server" ?
Is there a way to accomplish this.
- Vivekgot a mapi compliant mail server laying around. you might be able to do this with sqlmail.

OR

i have never written too much VBA for outlook (mostly access and excel) but you maybe able to write a rule that drops this email in a certain folder. Then, and I am not sure if there is an event for new mail but there probably is, you can probably make a db call in that event. you would have to leave your mail client open and your computer on.|||Check out xp_readmail in SQL BOL. Basically, you would need to put this inside a SQL Job that executes periodically and then use xp_readmail to "answer" the inbox and trigger your job.

Having said all that, I will say that SQL mail only ever caused me grief and heartache. Go Database Mail (SQL 2004)!

Can / Should I use a trigger

Hi All
I have two tables CustomerDetails and CustomerAccounts
CustomerDetails
CustomerId
Name
Address
Town
Postcode
Email
SearchDetails
CustomerAccounts (Many)
Accountid
CustomerId
AccountNumber
CreateDate
Etc
Currently the CustomerDetails.SearchDetails column is a Computed column
which holds all of the address / name / email data which has been Trimmed and
uppered.
In my search for a customer screen a user can search for a whole or partial
words and I generate a simple select statement
SELECT * FROM CUSTOMER DETAILS WHERE SEARCHDETAILS LIKE 'XXX'
a list of possible matches is then displayed to the user. This works fine.
I now have to add a list of accountid's / account numbers from the related
CustomerAccounts table. So a use could type in a partial name and account
number. I can't display multiple rows per account number.
So I'd like my CustomerDetails.SearchDetails tO contain the value
'DAVIDDASHERADDRESS1ADDRESS2TOWNPOSTCODEDAVIDDASHER@.EMAIL.COM ACCOUNTNUMBER1
ACCOUNTNUMBER2'
I know this is possible in Oracle, just not too sure about my options in sql
server 2005
Any help would be most appreciated
Regards
DavidDavid
